Position Description: As the program assistant, I organized meetings and events, developed materials for circulation, wrote the semester newsletters, communicated with potential graduate students regarding our program, interacted with the department chair and graduate students, contacted visiting speakers, and worked closely with the program director on a variety of projects and materials. This position offered the opportunity to experience the behind the scenes work of running a program. The image below represents some of the design work I did in this position as well as the newsletters I wrote regarding the program that circulated within the department, on our website, and to potential graduate students for the next academic year.
